ONA TRANSFER FORM - Acute Medicine 7S
Regular Full-Time and Temporary Full-Time
Union: ONA
Shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Extended Tours

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: ONA Transfer Forms are valid between January 1st and Dec 31st each year, therefore you must complete one each year to be included in this process.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
  • Current BCLS
  • Must have started Coronary Care Nursing 1 (or equivalent) within 1 year of start date
  • Demonstrate the ability to competently assess the patient, intervene appropriately and evaluate outcomes
  • Demonstrate the knowledge, experience and ability to provide care for patients with a variety of needs including but not limited to : imitation and maintenance of IV's, administration of medication delivered via various routes, blood and blood product administration, patient controlled analgesia, TPN, care and maintenance of CVADs, capillary blood glucose monitoring, NG tubes, chest tubes, enteral feeds, wound management, oxygen therapy and tracheostomies
  •  Ability to interpret normal and abnormal laboratory values with appropriate nursing interventions
  •  Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and organize the delivery of care in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrate a caring, compassionate, customer focused attitude toward patients and family
  •  Demonstrates a commitment to quality and patient safety, as well as the safety of self and co-workers
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized and have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality and performance
