ONA Transfer Form - RN - PT/JBS/TPT - L&D (199167-67)
PLEASE NOTE: ONA Transfer Forms are valid between January 1st and Dec 31st each year, therefore you must complete one each year to be included in this process.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario from College of Nurses.
- Certification in Fetal Health Surveillance (Canadian) is required
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation is required.
- Current or within two years Maternal and Child experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with current labour and delivery experience.
- Perinatal Certificate or equivalent
- Breastfeeding Certificate
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Perinatal Peri-operative certificate or experience (within 2 years)
- Demonstrated interest and knowledge in family centred maternity care.
- Demonstrated ability to function in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication skills.
- Demonstrated clinical assessment and family/patient teaching skills.
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge in I.V. Therapy is required.
- Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and availability.
- Experience supporting families with breastfeeding.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and patient safety, considers safety of self and co-workers.
