Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with internal stakeholders including leadership, workplace committees and staff, physicians and volunteers, develop an overall strategy for the JBH Well-Being program.
  • In consultation with internal and external stakeholders, develop, coordinate and implement workplace Well-Being programs for the achievement of strategic Well-Being goals and objectives.
  • Provides leadership to and actively participate on the JBH Well-Being committee as a standing co-chair.
  • In collaboration with internal stakeholders, develop Well-Being communication resources and tools for educational and promotional purposes, to enhance employee engagement, health and productivity.
  • Creates content for and maintains internal Well-Being resources including but not limited to the Well-Being newsletter, Well-Being calendar and Well-Being intranet page.
  • Through use of a creative, high energy and visible approach, actively promote the many facets of the JBH Well-Being program to staff, physicians and volunteers.
  • In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, develop, deliver and/or coordinate the delivery of health-education training programs for internal stakeholders.
  • Conducts research, and collects and analyzes employee health data and feedback, to create JBH programs or initiatives that align with JBH vision, mission and values.
  • Initiates and maintain key internal/external stakeholder partnerships in the design, planning, coordinating and communication of wellness initiatives and offerings

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Health Sciences, Health Promotion, Physical Education/Kinesiology, Recreation therapy or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Post-grad certification in workplace well-being and/or health promotion preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working and applying adult learning principles in a corporate or community well-being environment specializing in an employee engagement and healthy workplace.
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in well-being program delivery.
  • Prior academic knowledge of well-being program design, promotion and administration.
  • Mental Health First Aid training preferred.
  • Professional Membership in good standing with Can-FitPro Fitness Instructor Specialist, Yoga Alliance preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook), MS Teams, and MS Forms is required.
  • Ability to multitask, and manage conflicting priorities and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a complex multi-unionized workplace.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates values consistent with JBH and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proven ability to facilitate meetings and seminars.
  • Action-oriented with a high degree of business acumen.
  • Demonstrated planning and organization skills.
