Responsibilities:

•    Reception and processing of patients and requisitions in a computerized environment.
•    Computerized scheduling of Diagnostic Imaging examinations.
•    Facilitate the orderly flow of patients and visitors into and out of the department.
•    Providing worksheets and requisitions for next day duties. 
•    Answering phones and general inquiries.
•    Maintain patient images/reports in a PACS environment.
•    Retrieving films and reports from archives.
•    Maintain inventory of supplies as required.
•    Knowledge of all emergency codes and take appropriate action.
•    Handle incoming/outgoing mail; photocopying, faxing, courier and general typing as required.

Qualifications:

•    Medical Office Administration Diploma or equivalent required. 
•    Previous Diagnostic Imaging experience in a PACS environment preferred.
•    Demonstrated computer experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 
•    Working knowledge of medical terminology. Medical Terminology Certificate required.
•    Working knowledge of Meditech System with experience in ITS, OE, CWS and ADT.
•    Typing speed of 40 w.p.m. is required.
•    Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks is essential.
•    Ability to accurately transcribe orders and effective documentation skills.
•    Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to assist the public in a pleasant, helpful and confidential manner.
•    Demonstrates critical- thinking and decision-making skills.
•    Demonstrated excellent telephone manner and communication skills (written and verbal).
•    Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality, availability and performance required.
